Sibling DNA Testing

IntelliGENETICS is AABB accredited to provide sibling DNA tests which are also referred to as siblingship DNA testing.  A sibling DNA test is used to determine if two or more people are unrelated or related as full siblings (same mother and father) or half siblings (one parent in common, same mother OR same father).  A DNA sibling test can provide a high degree of certainty regarding siblingship.  We have 21 autosomal loci (test systems) and 12 Y-chromosome loci to determine what relationship exists.  We provide sibship analyses for U.S. Consulates and Embassies throughout the world as well for U.S. courts and for those who just want to know.  Test reports are generally provided in 7 – 10 days. Immigration DNA Testing

Individuals petitioning a U.S. consulate or the U.S. Μετανάστευση & Naturalization Service (INS) for a family member to enter the U.S. are often required to have a DNA test to prove the claimed relationship. A DNA test for immigration purposes MUST be done by an AABB accredited laboratory knowledgeable with INS and U.S. Embassy requirements.  IntelliGENETICS, is an AABB accredited laboratory that specializes in DNA testing that meets the requirements of the INS and the Department of Homeland Security as well as any specifications of the U.S. Embassy or Consulate processing the application.  IntelliGENETICS provides testing to Embassies and Consulates in Central and South America, the Caribbean, Africa, Asia and Europe for sibling relationships, πατρότητα, and maternity.
