Testing for Twins

IntelliGenetics uses DNA testing to determine if a set of twins are identical (monozygotic) or non-identical (dizygotic).  Identical
twins make up about 30% of all twins, have the same genetic makeup and therefore, demonstrate identical DNA profiles.  Non-identical twins on average share half their genes (DNA) just like regular siblings such as a brother and sister born of the same parents.   Non-identical twins, like regular siblings, have some similarities in their DNA profiles but not identical DNA profiles.  Twin zygosity can be determined with greater than 99.9% certainty.  We collect samples with a legal chain of custody and therefore your test results are court admissible.  Test reports are generally provided in 7 – 10 days. Expedited service (3 day and 24 hour service) is also available.
